I’ve always felt the need to capture the moment. My friends would say, “C’mon, it’s just a sign,” or “It’s just brunch,” but to me, it’s never just that. To me, it’s a memory —something fleeting that deserves to be preserved. I’ve always wanted to hold onto the moments that felt beautiful in my eyes.

Hi, I’m Giselle. I’m a proud Jersey girl, born in Jersey City. I’m a first-generation Filipina and the proud daughter of Marilyn David (the best mom ever!). I graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2019 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and English. Now, I’m a full-time special education teacher in Hoboken, working mostly with middle schoolers. I love what I do—but photography has become my creative outlet.

Here’s how it all started.

In the summer of 2024, my best friend Kristina (we met at TCNJ) asked me to take engagement photos of her and her fiancé in Philly. I had so much fun walking through their local park, capturing their love. I shared their photos on what was then my not-so-great event design Instagram—and to my surprise, that post gained some traction. I got two inquiries right away. Then another. And the rest was history.

So, I sat on my couch, bought a used Fujifilm camera from someone on Facebook Marketplace, and taught myself the basics of shooting couples and families.

Since then, I’ve had the honor of working with so many incredible couples and families who have trusted me on this photography journey. I’m still in awe that this is something I get to do.

It is such a privilege for me to be able to teach during the week, then be able to create and make art when I’m not at school. I am so lucky that this is my life and I hope you can tag along with me on this heck of a ride.
